Boomer & Craig got this whale of a Monday radio program off and running by discussing the New York Mets, after Terry Collins' club clinched the NL East over the weekend. They will face the Dodgers when the postseason begins.
Outside of Craig's take on SNY's Gary Cohen's final call Saturday night, the vibrations were all good ones in the Allstate Studio. Boomer watched every pitch and, frankly, couldn't be happier.
As for the Jets, they took one on the chin courtesy of the Eagles, in what could be described as a sloppy game. The loss was Gang Green's first of the season and Todd Bowles and Co. will begin preparing for their trip across the pond to London, where they will take on the Dolphins. The guys talked about how the early game will affect their Sunday morning routines.
The Yankees' aspirations to win the AL East are dwindling by the day, but the Bombers should be able to secure a wild-card birth. If that happens, and Masahiro Tanaka can't pitch, word is rookie Luis Severino might get the ball. How 'bout that?
