Jerry Recco's update featured all of the sports information and insight you could handle -- and then some.
On the sports front, Jerry provided the lowdown on wins from both the Mets and the Yankees, beginning with the story coming out of San Diego, where the Mets blanked the Padres 7-0 behind a strong performance courtesy of Jacob deGrom. We heard Mets skipper Terry Collins talk about feeling haunted and a "blessed-feeling" Daniel Murphy, who just wants to help the team.
As for the Yankees, they too got a win -- a 7-2 triumph over King Felix Hernandez and the Mariners out in Seattle. Suzyn Waldman could be heard taking care of some of her postgame responsibilities, which prompted Craig to get into character.
We also got to hear some unfiltered reaction to the Caitlyn Jenner Vanity Fair cover shot from WFAN's own Joe Benigno and his partner on the midday show, Evan Roberts, as they were on the air Monday afternoon when the picture started circulating.
