Boomer & Carton: Cowboys Fan Jerry Recco Gets Bold
It's no secret that our update maven Jerry Recco is a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Not only is his wardrobe littered with countless pieces of Cowboys clothing (pictured), Jerry has also been known to fly a flag of his favorite team outside of his Jersey home.
With all that said, Jerry is very confident on his 'Boys' -- like 13-3 confident.
With the prediction portion of the segment behind us, Jerry was reminded why exactly he was in the Allstate Studio: to deliver an informative and entertaining update, which got started with the Jets. It appears rookie signal caller Geno Smith will be under center come Sunday when Rex Ryan's Gang Green take on Darrelle Revis and the Buccaneers at MetLife Stadium. Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith has forgiven himself for swinging a helmet at Richie Incognito a few weeks back. The Yankees buried the White Sox 9-1 yesterday at the Stadium thanks to an eight-run fourth inning, this after taking two of three from the Orioles over the weekend. Don't look now, but the Yanks are just 2.5 games out of the Wild Card and Craig is welcoming all to his controversial 'Mets Fans For Yankees' church.
The Mets got thumped by the Braves 13-5 but Terry Collins hasn't lost faith in starting pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka, despite another shaky outing, a US Open Update and we examine how Jerry stacks up against other WFAN update anchors...
