NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A gruesome discovery was made at a waste transfer station in the Bronx early Tuesday morning.

Police said a woman's torso and leg were found at the Metropolitan Transfer Station at 287 Halleck St. in Hunts Point around 4:42 a.m.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.

No arrests have been made.
