Caught On Camera: Police Officer Puts Out Fire Inside Hopewell, NJ Home
HOPEWELL, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A Hopewell, New Jersey police officer's body camera was rolling as he put out a dryer fire inside a home.
Hours after being trained on the department's new cameras, Officer Joseph McNeil grabbed a fire extinguisher from his patrol car and ran into the burning building.
Once inside, he found a clothes dryer and pile of laundry on fire.
He was able to put out the flames, minimizing the damage.
Firefighters arrived shortly after to fully extinguish the fire.
