3 Men Arrested, Charged With Climbing Bear Mountain Bridge

CORTLANDT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- New York State Police arrested and charged three men Monday after they allegedly climbed the Bear Mountain Bridge.

Police said they found the men climbing the east tower of the bridge around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

Troopers arrived on the scene and ordered the men to come down and they complied, state police said.

The suspects – Stephen M. Duncan, 37, of Brooklyn; Austin Jensen, 20, of Bellmore, and Tzvi Filler, 19, of Brooklyn – were immediately arrested and charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct, state police said. The men allegedly told police they were there to take photos.

There was no damage to the bridge.
