B&C Morning Show: Yanks Send A Message To A.J.; Troubling Development For Jets Fans
Unless the Yankees stop allowing A.J. Burnett to start games for them, the well-paid right-hander will continue to be a hot topic here in the Big Apple.
With that said, Burnett was at it again yesterday afternoon in the Bronx and this morning the Dynamic Radio Duo of Boomer & Carton were talking about it.
According to Craig, the Yankees sent a crystal clear message to A.J. by backing him with what Carton perceived to be a depleted lineup. Craig said the message the Bombers brass sent to their $82.5 million man was "suck it" - so make of that what you will.
The Yanks eventually lost to the Orioles 5-4. Burnett did not factor into the decision.
Speaking of sending messages, Craig doesn't like the one that the Jets coaching staff is sending regarding Sunday night's game at MetLife Stadium against the Cowboys. With Sunday marking the 10th anniversary of 9/11 - Rex and the Jets are looking at the Cowboys game as a '9/11 Super Bowl' if you will - and Craigie sees this as a problem and uses his platform to explain exactly why.
Boomer explained that every coach in the NFL is looking for an edge and Rex and his 'gang' of coaches is no different.
