B&C Morning Show: Yankees' Loss Puts Them Against The Wall
Jerry Recco's first update of the day was very Yankee heavy -- and for good reason. With last night's 5-4 loss to Justin Verlander and the Tigers, the Yankees are on the brink of elimination.
We heard from the radio voice of the Yankees, John Sterling, as he described the action. Then we heard some post-game comments from Rafael Soriano (through an interpreter) who yielded what turned out to be the game-winning homer to Delmon young in the 7th and Derek Jeter after being struck-out by Tigers closer Jose Valverde for the second straight game.
We also got to hear from the two starting pitchers, Verlander - who felt good - and CC Sabathia, who pitched nothing like an ace.
Then we learned about how strange Boomer's former teammate and current NBC NFL analyst Cris Collinsworth actually is, as he comes up with a new way of describing a hard hit.
Rex Ryan is forced to react once again to some comments uttered by Jets legend 'Broadway Joe' Namath and he references Boomer's nemesis Joe Montana while doing so. Never a dull moment...
