B&C Morning Show: Yankees Lose, Thaaaaa Yankees Lose
It's all over now. The Yankees hosted their first ever elimination game at the new Yankee Stadium and the result was not how many fans had it scripted.
One such 'fan' accounts for one-half of the Dynamic Duo we all know as Boomer & Carton.
Of course I'm not talking about NFL great Boomer Esiason, rather Craig Carton - founder of the controversial 'Mets Fans for Yankees' congregation - and prior to last night's Game 5 in the Bronx, Craigie was quite confident in his Bombers.
Well, this morning, we wake up and despite two more Game 5's over in the the NL tonight, for all intents and purposes, the Yankees' loss marks the end of the baseball season here in the Tri-State area.
Boomer & Craig opened up today's edition of the 'Morning Extravaganza' breaking down the Yankees' demise and offering a reality check after the Bombers squandered countless opportunities (well I guess they could be counted, as the Bombers left 20 men on base).
Alex Rodriguez, who struck-out to end the game, looked like a shell of himself. But he was not alone and there was plenty of blame to go around. CC Sabathia was far from an ace, as the 'hefty-lefty' came-up empty all 3 times he was called upon. Mark Teixeira & Nick Swisher, who were a combined 7-37 with 2 RBIs, were not much better.
Craig also filled us in on his impulse buy yesterday as he displayed his very own baby giraffe (pictured above) and then proceeded to make things uncomfortable for the original 'baby giraffe' Dominique (pictured below)...
