B&C Morning Show: What's Boomer Doing During Jerry's Update?
It's very well-documented that Jerry Recco faces many obstacles each and everyday when he attempts to deliver his clever and witty sports updates to the listening audience. To his credit, Jerry always finds away to get through it and do the job he is paid to do.
This morning before he could even get to work, he was forced to defend the comments made by his goaltender (Jerry is a big Devils fan) Marty Brodeur. Jerry thought the comments were made in jest, while Boomer & Craig disagreed.
Moving right along, Jerry eventually began his update with the story surrounding the Mets' 8-0 loss to the Brewers, focusing on the 7th inning, when the real juicy stuff started to happen. We had a home run, an ejection, a decision which was made with safety in-mind and a whole bunch of telling postgame audio from Collins, Wright and DJ Carrasco.
Before getting the the Yankees - who were in Baltimore and lost 5-2 to the Orioles with CC Sabathia on the mound (the 'hefty-lefty's' first loss of the year) - we played a little impromptu game called 'what is Boomer doing right now?' This game spawned when Craig realized that Boomer was paying no attention to poor Jerry.
Plus, The Pacers stole Game 2 in Miami from the Heat, Spurs took Game 1 from the Clippers in San Antonio, Derek Rose may be out for all of next year, some possible good news with regards to the Knicks roster moving forward and Craig tells Boomer to 'lay down and take a puck'...
