B&C Morning Show: We Really Like Jon Niese, We Really Do Now
Jon Niese is not scheduled to pitch for the Mets again until Sunday night, when they take on the Cardinals -- marking the return of Carlos Beltran to Citi Field -- so he decided to fill the time by calling in to chat with Boomer & Craig.
Niese talked about the season thus far, fighting with himself on the mound - which occurred when he got roughed up in Toronto back on May 18 - building team unity and the Mets' costume-themed road trips, taking the mound Sunday night with Beltran coming to town, whether or not he is 'tired' and when we might see Josh Thole (possibly tomorrow) and Jason Bay (unsure when he might return) on the field again...
