B&C Morning Show: Updating The People
Jerry Recco began his first update talking about the Mets financial situation - which took a turn for the better yesterday after settling with the trustee in the Madoff case and reportedly paying back their loans owed to Major League Baseball and Bank of America. Craig isn't concerned so much about the finances of the Wilpons, rather the product on the field and he wants to know what the plan is to make that better.
The Knicks are home for the Raptors tonight and will be looking to get their 4th straight win, which has Carmelo talking about changing for the better and praising his new head coach. The Nets lost a tight one to the Cavs and Avery Johnson sees a lot of room for improvement. The Orlando Magic were finally able to take the court with the Dwight Howard nonsense behind them and promptly scored 59 points, while allowing 85 points to the Bulls - who played without Derrick Rose.
Plus, Peyton Manning's agent is negotiating a contract with Denver for his client and it sounds like soon-to-be Denver teammate, linebacker Joe Mays is on-board with the change at quarterback. The Jets signed safety LaRon Landry to a one-year deal, former Giants corner back Aaron Ross signs with the Jaguars & the Patriots ink Donte Stallworth.
On the ice last night the Rangers 'welcomed' the Devils to the Garden and things got heated early and often. The Blue Shirts got the 4-2 win and afterwards Rangers coach John Tortorella and Devils coach Peter DeBoer were far from tight-lipped. The win clinched a playoff birth for the Rangers...
