B&C Morning Show: Tom Coughlin Tight Lipped, While Rex Ryan Is Flapping His Gums
With Osi Umenyiora's contract squabbles dominating the Giants headlines, Justin Tuck feels as if he is caught in the middle. Jerry got us all updated on the latest from Giants camp, which is going on despite the Osi distraction. Giants head coach Tom Coughlin had little to say about his disgruntled defensive lineman, choosing rather to focus on things he can control.
On a positive note, Big Blue did reach an agreement with Ahmad Bradshaw worth four years $18 million, so that is good. All in all Craig said fans of the Giants have to be worried as they are off to a pretty rough start thus far.
Things seem to be on track over at Florham Park - the home of the New York Jets - as Rex was doing his thing for reporters yesterday. In addition to his new tattoo, Rex made news by declaring the Jets current roster to be the best he has ever had. He went on to take a shot at the Patriots and the rest of the league just for good measure. If this is any indication of how this season is going to go - whether you're a Jets fan or not - it should be a pretty fun ride. Woody Johnson is the biggest Jets fan of them all and he is grinning from ear-to-ear.
The Yankees got a 3-2 win over the White Sox behind CC Sabathia's 16th win of the season. Although it wasn't one of CC's best outings, the left-hander's worth to the Yankees is beyond measurable and Craig believes he will opt-out and leave the Yankees in peril when the season concludes.
