B&C Morning Show: Something Special Is Brewing In Flushing, Just Ask Carton
With their 6-3 win last night over the Phillies, the Amazin' Mets are boasting a record of 28-22, and this gritty bunch is just 1.5 games out of first place in NL East. All of that has Craig doing some boasting of his own, claiming that the Mets - not the Yankees (who lost 5-1 to the Angels - their second straight) - are currently in control of the 'baseball world' that is New York.
Before even saying good morning to Boomer, Craig instructed the guys to start up the 'Mo-Mo Bus' because the Mets are back!
Boomer is certainly enjoying the Mets' unexpected success, but he immediately advised Craig to curb his enthusiasm, reminding his radio partner that it isn't even June yet and he believes that he is overreacting just a little bit. The Booms on the other hand has chosen to temper his excitement.
Craig wasn't hearing it though, going on about how he is falling back in love with the Mets and how this gritty, tough team is movie material, going as far as imagining Brad Pitt playing the role of David Wright when Hollywood comes calling. Craigie was so into the game last night, despite not having much of a voice, he found himself yelling at the TV throughout. He decided to share a couple of the things that were coming out of his mouth and one in particular he'd like to see become a slogan for this 2012 team - 'FU' Philly! - and so it began...
