B&C Morning Show: Santa Boomer, 'Cat's In The Cradle'
Kids grow up fast, which is a sad fact that all parents come to realize. Craig finds it hard to believe his daughter is about to turn 12 soon. Boomer cannot fathom that his son Gunnar is only 3 semesters away from graduating.
As we all know, the Giants game ended very close to midnight eastern time. The Boomer and Carton radio program signs on at 6 a.m. ET. If you do the math, that's not a lot of sleep for Mr. Esiason. So needless to say, the former QB was very cranky this morning. Craig wonders why Boom can't just take a nap later.
Boomer calmly explains that he must complete some Christmas shopping. Of course Craig assumes that Boomer hires and/or tells someone on the morning show staff to do all his dirty work. Boomer insists this is not the case and proceeds to hint at the gift(s) he got for his son.
Since the guys are best friends, Carton already knows what the present is. In typical fashion, Craig tries to get Boomer to spill the beans, but Boom is a little smarter than that. Craig also thinks Boomer will be like a fat kid in a candy store, because he will be impatient and give the present to Gunnar before December 25th.
All this talk about his children leaves Boomer feeling melon collie, which prompts Eddie to play the classic song from Cat Stevens, "Cat's in the Cradle." It's a touching moment on the morning show…
