B&C Morning Show: Rangers In Royal Mess After Lundqvist Fights The Puck (And Loses)
After clawing their way back from an early 3-0 deficit, the Rangers' comeback went for naught, as the Devils took the pivotal Game 5 at the Garden by a score of 5-3 and now hold a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
You don't need to be a hockey analyst to see what led to the Blueshirts' demise last night. He resides between the pipes and in many circles is affectionately known as 'The King.' I'm talking of course about Henrik Lundqvist, who was unable to withstand a combination of an early Devils' onslaught and a late surge - and because of that, the Rangers now face a couple of must-win games if they are to keep their hopes of hoisting the Stanley Cup alive.
Game 6 will be Friday night at the Rock in Newark, but before we get to that, Boomer & Craig spent a good majority of today's show open talking about the Devils' big win - which the Booms was there to witness firsthand.
Somewhat surprisingly, Boomer was not all that irate, remaining levelheaded throughout despite his radio partner's best efforts to tweak him and Rangers fans alike.
Even with all of the hoopla surrounding the Blueshirts, the Yankees managed to steal some headlines in a story that Craig immediately depicted as fiction. According to some, the Bombers are up for sale - talk amongst yourselves...
