B&C Morning Show: Osi Wants Out, Rex Gets Inked-Up And CC's Days Are Numbered
Osi Umenyiora wants a new contract and Craig agrees with everything the Giants defensive-end is saying, but still is emphatic that Osi has got to go. The Giants granted permission to Umenyiora's agent to seek out a trade for his 29 year-old client, so it appears that something is likely happen sooner rather than later.
Boomer completely understands where Umenyiora is coming from, referencing the poor structure of NFL contracts that offer little to no stability for the players.
So the guys had a spirited discussion about Osi's complex plight to open-up today's Radio Program before shifting their focus to the Jets and their inked-up head coach Rex Ryan.
At his first press conference yesterday, the outspoken Rex talked about loving his current roster and asked for another team - besides the Jets - to step up and beat the Patriots. Craig was thrilled to hear his guy Rex picking up right where he left off last year, so much so that he declared his love for the pleasantly plump coach.
Speaking of overweight, C.C. Sabathia got his 16th win last night and according to Craig his days of pitching for the Yankees are numbered, as he believes the hefty-lefty will elect to opt-out. Craig then took it a step further and said he believes Sabathia will end-up pitching in Boston next season.
So plenty to talk about and Boomer & Craig wasted little time - covering all of it and then some...
