B&C Morning Show: No, You Da Man!
Daniel Murphy (pictured) did it with his glove and his bat last night, as Terry Collins' Mets came from behind to beat the Nationals at Citi Field by a score of 4-3.
With the win, the 'Amazin' Mets have certainly lived up to their moniker, surpassing even the most optimistic fan's expectations by streaking out to a 4-0 start.
At this point no one knows for sure what kind of team the Mets will become, but for now Boomer says 'ride the funk,' while Craig warns Mets fans 'it's not gonna last, so enjoy it while it does.'
With that said, Craig did mention that with the Mets playing so well, he may keep the doors of his controversial 'Mets Fans for Yankees Church' closed, admitting he may 'fall in love' with the New York Mets once again. The guys even offered an early review of Howie Rose's new partner in the Mets radio booth, Josh Lewin, and his play-by-play abilities.
Craig's 'dirty little secret' got off the snide last night in Baltimore, as the Yankees went into Camden Yards and beat down the Orioles 6-2. Derek Jeter set the tone, collecting four hits in the win, raising his batting average to .412 on the young season.
So we had the Mets' torrid start, the Yankees getting the all important 'first' out of the way and the Knicks preparing to complete their home-and-home set with the Bulls tonight in Chicago - looking to build upon their thrilling overtime victory on Easter Sunday. I'd say that makes for a pretty good start to your Tuesday morning...
