B&C Morning Show: Mets' Misguiding Medical Staff Str-Ike-s Again
The Mets got a 3-2, extra-inning victory over the A's at Citi Field last night thanks to Justin Turner getting plunked by a Brad Ziegler offering in the bottom of the 13th with the bases loaded. With the win the Mets improved to 36-38, and are 6 games out of the wild card.
Then we turned our attention off the diamond, which is where Ike Davis has spending his time since being placed on the disabled list in early May with what was being reported at the time as a left ankle sprain and bone bruise. Davis was batting .302 with 7 home runs and 25 RBI's in 36 games and it appears he may not be adding to those numbers as Boomer & Craig discussed Davis' clouded future and the Mets' troublesome medical staff.
The guys also discussed Brian Cashman's comments regarding Jose Reyes and how the possibility of him playing in the Bronx at some point is "not going to happen."
All of that and what the Knicks will look for when they make the 17th selection in tonight's NBA Draft...
