B&C Morning Show: Let The Mets Vs. Yankees Games Begin
Jerry "Rello" Recco began his first update of the morning talking about last night's action in Baltimore, where the Yankees got a 13-2 win over the last place Orioles.
We heard from WCBS 880's John Sterling and his trusty sidekick Suzyn Waldman... or was it just Craig doing his best Suzyn impression? It's tough to keep track these days. Joe Girardi chatted with the media following the game and Craig was not thrilled with the line of questioning he faced.
The Mets played a day game out at Citi Field and came away with a 1-0 win over the Nationals. Dillon Gee pitched terrific and now the stage is set for the beginning of tonight's Subway Series in the Bronx.
Plus, to Craig's delight, the 1st place Philadelphia Phillies lost to the Rockies - the Phils' 5th loss in their last 6 games - and Jason Giambi accounted for all 7 runs by hitting 3 homers. Craig wondered aloud if the "Giambino" had any "assistance," which Boomer said was an all too predictable inquiry...
