B&C Morning Show: Knicks Win, Sterling Cracks, Cromartie Expecting Twins
The Knicks got an impressive 118-110 over the Celtics last night at MSG, led by Carmelo Anthony's triple-double (35/12/10)
So it was there that Jerry Recco began his first update of the morning. During his unique recap, we heard from Kevin Harlan - who called the game on TNT - as well as Mike Woodson, who has his team playing pretty darn well (and has his own theme song). Melo also took time to talk to the media and had nothing but praise for himself, according to Jerry.
The Knicks are now one game ahead of the 76ers for the seventh playoff spot in the East and will take on the Nets tonight in New Jersey.
Plus, the Yankees got a 8-3 win over the Twins and a less-than 100% john Sterling, who despite battling some voice problems was still in the WCBS 880 radio booth. Mets fall to the Braves 9-3 after a shaky outing from Johan Santana and shoddy defense courtesy of Jason Bay and Ike Davis, Antonio Cromartie and his wife are expecting twins, Giants and Jets schedules released, 49-year-old Jamie Moyer earns a win for the Rockies and 51-year-old Boomer Esiason lights the lamp twice for his WASP team on his birthday -- and afterward celebrated with his old friend 'Fudgy the Whale'...
