B&C Morning Show: Knicks Get Bull-ied In The Windy City
The Knicks' poor play continued last night in the Windy City, as they fell to Derek Rose and the Bulls, 104-99. For those of you keeping track at home, the setback was the 6th straight for the Mike D'Antoni's team and with a record of 18-24 they are currently on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs are concerned.
So today's show opened up like many before it, with Boomer & Craig trying to figure out what in the world is going on with the bumbling Knickerbockers.
The guys also discussed the Peyton Manning sweepstakes, as the free agent quarterback continues to search for a team to call signals for. Boomer mentioned that he was a little surprised that Manning is taking so long to make up his mind, calling Eli's older brother a bit selfish, pointing out how teams interested in his services are being hamstrung until he makes a decision.
As far as the local football scene, the Jets are out of the Manning talks after inking 'their guy' Mark Sanchez to an extension, so Craig chose to focus on the Giants as the NFL free agent frenzy is fast approaching (begins today @ 4 p.m.).
Craig took Giants GM Jerry Reese to task last year for Big Blue's inactivity in free agency and things seemed to work out okay. This year it appears the Giants will again be rather inactive due to lack of cap room, so we'll see how it works out this time around.
