B&C Morning Show: Juice Is Flowing And Gloves Are Off: Coughlin Vs. Rex
After a few days of Rex Ryan spouting off, Tom Coughlin had enough and yesterday he lashed back. The intensity is amping up and the juices are really beginning to flow with the Giants-Jets match-up just a mere two days away.
After hearing Coughlin's 'talk is cheap' rebuttal and Victor Cruz referring to Darrelle Revis as a 'decent cornerback,' Craig is pleased to report that this game has some juice.
Boomer ran down the list of people who Rex has P.O.'ed this week - thus far- with his comments. Tom 'Kiss My A--' Coughlin was atop the list, but he wasn't alone.
All of this is leading up to what should be a classic Christmas Eve showdown with a whole lot on the line.
On Christmas Day the sports world will shift their focus to the hardwood as the Knicks make their long-awaited debut against the Boston Celtics at Madison Square Garden. Last night they ended their two game preseason on a high note with a 87-82 win over the Nets by playing what Boomer described as a boring brand of basketball. It was a bit of a sloppy contest, which is too be expected after the long layoff. Craig chose rather to focus on the defensive effort by the Knickerbockers with the addition of Tyson Chandler in the middle. Boomer on the other hand has growing concerns about the questionable, unproven back court and his own way of pronouncing rookie guard Iman Shumpert's name.
Getting back to football for a moment, Craig has had enough with Giants fans throwing their three Super Bowls in his face when comparing the two New York franchises. Boomer explained to his radio partner that it is what it is and he need to get used to until the Jets gets themselves number two...
