B&C Morning Show: Joe Girardi's Captain Crunch Caper And Jerry's Update

Before Jerry Recco's first update of the morning could begin, Craig shared an interesting anecdote he learned over the weekend that documented a "crime spree" perpetrated by Yankees skipper Joe Girardi as an 8-year-old living on his family's farm -- and how the experience has influenced his eating habits as an adult.

With that out of the way, Jerry got busy updating us on the Yankees' 9-8 loss to the Angels - which ended in the 9th when Mark Trumbo took Yankee reliever Cory Wade deep for a home run of the walk-off variety.

The Mets watched Ty Wigginton go crazy at Citi Field yesterday afternoon, driving in six of the Phillies eight runs in an 8-4 Mets loss.  Terry Collins had the misfortune of describing Justin Turner's sprained right ankle, while David Wright is 0 for his last 14, hitting 'just' .373 and clearly spiraling out of control.

Plus, Tigers manager Jim Leyland calls out the media, Al Dukes consumed a lot of vodka Saturday night, the Heat handled the Celtics 93-79 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, John Tortorella is still talking about reaching the Stanley Cup Finals and Jerry made certain to include a Maryland beat-down - as Boomer's Terps were defeated 9-3 by Loyola of Maryland in the NCAA Lacrosse Championship...
