B&C Morning Show: Jerry's Update Revolves Around Joba Chamberlain's Father

Jerry "Rello" Recco's first update began with him offering a recap of the Yankees' 8-3 loss to their AL East rivals, the Boston Red Sox.

It was the Yankees' 8th loss to Boston in 9 tries this season.  We heard about David Ortiz, the "Yankees killer" getting plunked by CC Sabathia and Josh Beckett's reaction following the game.

Jerry also reported the injury news surrounding Joba Chamberlain, who will likely undergo Tommy John surgery  and miss the rest of the season.  The news set Craig off on a tangent about Joba's father Harlan, which prompted Boomer to agree that his radio partner is a bad guy -- and Booms reminded Craig that his father passed away and is no longer with us.

Eventually Jerry was able to get back on track and inform all of those who turned in early last night that the Mavericks now hold a 3-2 Series lead over the Heat in the NBA Finals with their 112-103 win.  Once again LeBron James "turtled-up" in the 4th quarter, which brought a smile to Craigie's face.

Craig was also grinning with confidence with news regarding the NFL labor dispute, as New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft says both sides are getting close...
