B&C Morning Show: Jerry's Update Delayed By Fetish Talk
Before Jerry Recco could begin his first update of the morning, Craig began talking about the comments made by Woody Johnson regarding his team's choice of Mark Sanchez over Peyton Manning.
Needless to say Craigie found these comment idiotic and went on to point out that the next time Rex Ryan says something foolish, he could point to his owner and say, 'I learned it from watching you.'
Craig then wondered if the Knicks resident 'backside tweeter' J.R. Smith could play for Rex, going on to reference the Jets coach's alleged fondness of feet and Smith's obvious infatuation with huge rumps.
That was a perfect lead-in for the aforementioned Jerry, who had a lot to get to and wasted little time doing it. He began with the Carmelo Anthony trade rumors before quickly moving on to Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard, who scored 24 points and pulled down 25 rebounds in the Magic's 104-98 OT win over the Heat. Afterward the line of questioning was centered around Howard's uncertain future as the NBA trade deadline (tomorrow @ 3 p.m.) fast approaches.
Shifting focus back to the Knicks for a moment, Craig wondered why the focus has all been on Carmelo's struggles, when Amar'e Stoudemire has been equally ineffective. Boomer & Craig both agreed that they love rooting for Tyson Chandler and that he should probably be the Knicks captain.
Plus, the Warriors traded Monta Ellis to the Bucks for Andrew Bogut & Stephen Jackson, the NCAA Tournament began last night so we heard Jim 'uheww-hello friends' Nantz describe some of the action from Iona's epic collapse against BYU and Western Kentucky's 59-58 triumph over Mississippi Valley State. A rant by Pat Knight that draws the praise of B&C and likely his father as well, Rangers beat the Hurricanes 4-2, Devils lost 4-0 to the Flyers and the Islanders fall to the Capitals 5-4 in a shoot-out...
