B&C Morning Show: Jerry Recco Has No Problem Updating It All

After Craig filled him in on what 'Game 7 Thursday' is all about, Jerry Recco proceeded to deliver his first update of the morning, which began with the golden pipes of the one and only John Sterling, who apparently forgot where the Yankees were playing last night.

Well, the Yanks were in Texas, and it was there that they fell to the Rangers 7-3 after another shaky Phil Hughes outing.  As for John and his partner in the WCBS 880 Yankees radio booth, Suzyn Waldman, Craig offered a few thoughts on the duo's future behind the microphone.

Off the field the Bombers were dealt a blow as they learned that newly acquired pitcher Michael Pineda will be out for the season before ever throwing a pitch.  Pineda has a torn labrum in his right shoulder.  Meantime Andy Pettitte continues to make strides towards his return, throwing 6 innings for AA Trenton, allowing three runs.

We also heard from a deep-thinking Alex Rodriguez and Craig talked about his admiration for George Clooney in relation to his 15-month-old son's soiled diaper.

Moving right along to the Mets, turns out Mike Pelfrey may not need surgery after all, which was news to Terry Collins.  David Wright becomes the franchises all-time leader in RBI's after belting a two-run round-tripper last night in the Mets' 5-1 over the Marlins.  RA Dickey went seven innings, got the win and was terrific.

Plus, Knicks beat the Clippers 99-93 and will likely face the Heat in the first round of the NBA playoffs.  Mark Sanchez & Santonio Holmes attended the game together and were not met with a warm greeting from the Garden crowd.  The Washington Capitals beat the defending Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins in a 2-1 OT thriller to advance and the Rangers and the Devils both prepare for their respective Game 7's...
