B&C Morning Show: Jerry Recco Flexes His Update Muscles

With the Giants preparing to take on the Falcons this Sunday, one might wonder how the players are feeling going into the big playoff match-up.  Enter Jerry Recco, who provided some insightful audio of Osi Umenyora talking about his and his teammates confidence level heading into Sunday to kick off his first update of the morning.

We also got to hear from Justin Tuck, who is starting to feel as he did back in 2007, which is 'super' and Antrel Rolle on a healthy Giants defense getting better at the right time.

On the offensive side of the ball, Brandon Jacobs told us what it takes to win in the postseason.

Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez has played in front of both Jets and Giants fans and he discussed the differences in the stands.  Craig has never liked the notion that the Giants are a more sophisticated fan base, he is a Jets fan, so take that for what it's worth.

Following the Falcons-Giants game on Sunday, the Steelers will host Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, so Jerry thought it would be funny if he played some audio of someone laughing and claim it's Mike Tomlin after being asked about Tebow against his defense.  Turns out Jerry was right.

Tomorrow, the Bengals (Who Dey!!!) will face the Texans in Houston (4:30 p.m.) and the Lions & Saints will kickoff at 8 p.m.

Some more news from the NFL:  The Jets - not the NFL - fined Bart Scott $10,000 for giving a photographer the finger in the locker room on Monday, the Chargers fired offensive coordinator Greg Manuskey, Jeff Fisher interviewed with the Rams for their head coaching job and reports say Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien will be the new head coach at Penn State.

Plus, at the Garden the Rangers won an overtime thriller over the Panters by a score of 3-2 thanks to a goal by Marian Gaborik, which we got to hear Sam Rosen describe for us.  Brad Richards also scored a goal and was all business afterwards, while John Tortorella is not having any talk of a Stanley Cup.  Mike D'Antoni is thinking about tinkering with his Knicks starting line-up tonight against the Wizards and the Nets expect to have Daron Williams and Kris Humphries back when they take on the Raptors in Toronto...
