B&C Morning Show: Jerry Recco Does What He Does
When it comes to the update game, Jerry Recco has things on 'lock-down.' This morning, just before 6:30 a.m., Jerry had his skills on display and we were all the beneficiaries. After Craig talked about reports that say Amar'e Stoudemire's hand was 'hanging off' following his bout with the trouble-making fire extinguisher after Game 2, Jerry began with the latest on Stoudemire and the Knicks, as tomorrow night's Game 3 inches closer.
One positive coming out of Knicks camp, according to reports: Tyson Chandler will be named the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year. Here's hoping he is healthy enough to contribute Thursday night at the Garden - Chandler has been suffering from flu like symptoms (which may or may not, actually be the flu).
NBA Scoreboard: Lakers beat the Nuggets 104-100 to take a 2-0 series lead - Sixers over the Bulls 109-92, series tied 1-1 - and the Celtics stopped the Hawks without the services of suspended Rajan Rondo.
Plus, the Yanks gets clobbered by the Orioles 7-1 and some are encouraged by Phil Hughes' somewhat shaky outing, during which he allowed 4 runs in 5 2/3 innings of work, down in Houston the Mets fell flat to the Astros, losing by a score of 6-3. The Devils show some fight in Philly with a 4-1 win that ties their series with the Flyers at one game apiece and while the Rangers prepare for their Game 3 in Washington, Blue Shirts head coach John Tortorella makes some time for the beat reporters...
