B&C Morning Show: Girardi Looks Forward, Swisher Feels Sick And The Captain Is Disappointed

Following last night's Yankees loss in the Bronx, Jerry Recco had all sorts of post game audio to share during his first update of the morning.

He began with the Yankees manager Joe Girardi, who after using a total of 7 pitchers in last night's elimination game, was heard talking about the future and moving forward.

Nick Swisher, who had a miserable series and could have played his last game as a Yankee, felt sick to his stomach, which is certainly understandable.  The Yankee captain, Derek Jeter, expressed disappointment while GM Brian Cashman talked about the inability of his team to get passed the Tigers.

Speaking of the Tigers, who will move on to the ALCS to take on the Texas Rangers, their skipper Jim Leyland admitted to relishing a series win over the Yankees just a little bit more because of who they are and what they represent.

Boomer is a fan of Leyland's and with the Yankees now eliminated, the deck is clear for the Blonde Bomber to root on Brandon Inge - who like Boomer - everyone on the staff really likes.

So now the story surrounding the Yankees will be CC Sabathia's opt-out clause and the 137 days until pitchers & catcher report - Hang in there Yankees fans...(says a fan of the Phillies - holla!!!)
