B&C Morning Show: Free-Throw Controversy And An Update
Boomer & Craig took a call from Phil in Long Island and he offered a reasonable solution which would allow the Mets to bring back Jose Reyes to Queens and while doing so he referenced legendary caller Lou from Staten Island. We all love Lou and for good reason I might add.
Then, upon leaving the Rose Hill Gym last night, Boomer got a 'tweet' from Craig (pictured displaying a rather awkward looking form at the line) bragging about his victory in their free-throw shooting contest at halftime of the Fordham University men's basketball team inter-squad scrimmage.
Craig beat his radio partner by a single free-throw and after sleeping on it for a night, the Booms decided to speak up about obvious violations committed by Craigie, therefore voiding his supposed victory.
This didn't sit well with Craig and a controversy was born.
Jerry Recco has never been one to shy away from controversy - in some circles he is known as 'Mr. Controversy' but that is another story for another day - and he was prepared to deliver an action packed update filled with lots of explosive audio - beginning with Bart Scott calling out the media for not knowing what the hell they're talking about.
We also got to hear from Santonio Holmes on his role with Gang Green, Rex Ryan and Darrel Revis as well on their upcoming battle with the Bills.
The audio parade didn't stop their though as Jerry gave the Giants-Pats game equal time and we listened to a humorous Tom Coughlin, a monotone Bill Bilichick, Kenny Phillips who said the game is going to be awesome - among others (Eli Manning, Tom Brady & Prince Amukamara - who appears to still be a week away from making his Giants debut).
From the diamond, the baseball's free-agent market opened-up today and it appears the Mets are content to allow Jose Reyes to hit it hard. Speaking of hitting it hard, Robinson Cano and Curtis Granderson took home the 'Silver Slugger' award's for 2nd base and centerfield...
