B&C Morning Show: Football Is Finally Back, Baby; Let 'Run For The Gun' Begin
After months of mind-numbing negotiations, the NFL is officially back and Boomer & Craig couldn't be happier about it.
In addition to the accelerated free-agency period on the horizon, Boomer sees the salary minimum having a stunning affect throughout the league.
The return of football of course marks the anticipated return of Jets head coach Rex Ryan, and shortly after the negotiations were finalized, the outspoken Ryan sent a voice mail to Jets fans, the first step in what is sure to be an on-going process in an attempt to reengage the fan base.
Boomer & Craig talked about the new deal and how the future looks for the Giants and the Jets - who both have plenty of decisions to make in a very short period of time.
Speaking of the short period of time, a lot has been made about the expedited negotiations - which are set to get underway today at 10 a.m. - and with that in mind Boomer coined the upcoming frenzy as the 'Run for the Gun' - a name that did not sit well with Craig. So all in all the guys had a nice, free-flowing open to today's Radio Program, but finished it off bickering like an old married couple...
