B&C Morning Show: Brian Cashman's Security, Brandon Jacobs' Stupidity
After reacting to the news that the Yankees had reached an agreement for a contract extension with CC Sabathia yesterday, the guys opened up this Wednesday edition of the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza talking about the Bombers negotiating a deal that will keep Brian Cashman in the Bronx - at least for the next three years.
Cashman was given a reported three-year, $9 million dollar deal to serve as the team's Senior Vice President and General Manager. While addressing the media after the announcement of the deal, Cashman had some interesting things to say about the future of A.J. Burnett with the Yankees, insinuating that his days might be numbered.
Boomer & Craig discussed Cashman's importance to the Yanks and what appears to be a real possibility that they could rid themselves of the stink that is Allan James Burnett.
From Burnett to another polarizing member of the New York sports landscape, as Giants running back Brandon Jacobs spouted off yesterday - or as Craig put it, 'opened his big, fat mouth.'
After hearing Jacobs' comments, Craig called for the Giants to cut-ties with the 7th year running back, who blamed his lackluster play on not being happy with his current role with the G-Men.
So we had all of that and the Dynamic Radio Duo talking about their big coaching match-up against one another tonight. Boomer & Craig will be coaching the Fordham University men's basketball team's inter-squad scrimmage at Rose Hill Gym (Fordham University Rose Hill Campus - Bronx, NY). Tickets are still available with all proceeds benefiting Boomer's Foundation - BEF.
At halftime Boomer & Craig will likely compete in a high-stakes free-throw shooting contest...
