B&C Morning Show: Brian Billick Talks NFL Draft, Cam Newton's Value

Brian Billick last coached in the NFL in 2007 for the Baltimore Ravens, the same franchise he led to a victory in Super Bowl XXXV over the Giants in 2001.

Since being fired from Baltimore, Billick has yet to resurface on the sidelines (which I personally don't understand) -- but he has been keeping his mind sharp by working as an in-game analyst for FOX and a studio analyst for the NFL Network.

He joined Boomer & Craig in the Allstate Studio this morning to talk about the recently "ended" 45-day NFL lockout and whether or not he believes any games will be missed. For the record, Billick thinks the NFL will get a full season in.

The guys also got his take on the upcoming NFL Draft and Billick agreed with Craig that there is certainly a different feel this year.  When asked about Cam Newton, who many believe will be the first overall pick by the Carolina Panthers, Billick called him "the real deal - unique and a special college quarterback."

He then when on to express concerns about Newton making the transition to the NFL game, pointing to his lack of reps in college, among other things.  Having been in the "War Room" on many draft days, Billick pointed out that if you screw up when drafting a QB, you're likely to be looking for a job...
