B&C Morning Show: Boomer's Mid-Life Crisis And Jerry's Mid-Hour Update
Before Jerry Recco could deliver his first update of the morning, Boomer wanted to clear something up with regards to the concert he saw last night.
During the open, the ultra-hip Boomer referenced seeing Corey Hart perform, but it was in fact Corey Taylor, the lead singer of the band Slipknot. Craig chalks up the 50-year-old Boomer's Monday night of galavanting (he attended the Rangers-Maple Leafs game before the concert) to a mid-life crisis. Considering the Blonde Bomber is currently giving serious consideration to getting a tattoo, I think Craigie may be on to something.
Then Jerry got going, delivering the 'Tom Coughlin was sick to his stomach after seeing a still shot of Jake Ballard's catch/no catch yesterday. I'm talking of course about the 1st quarter play which Coughlin challenged to no avail.
Antrel Rolle talked about his team's playoff chances being in their hands, while Cowboys defensive back Frank Walker did the same for his team. The Giants take on the Cowboys Sunday night in Dallas and it appears will likely be without Osi Umenyiora (sprained ankle) and Kenny Phillips (sprained knee). Center David Baas is being evaluated for headaches, while offensive lineman Stacy Andrews has been shutdown for the rest of the season with blood clots in his lungs.
The Jets are 7-5 and remain very much alive in the playoff hunt as they prepare for the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday and Rex Ryan knows what it's gonna take. Looks like the Jets will go at it with the services of running back Joe McKnight who may miss the game with a hyper-extended elbow.
Monday night Football saw the San Diego Chargers snap their 6 game losing streak with a 38-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Boomer did not make the trip to Jacksonville, but his partner in the radio-booth Kevin Harlan did and we got to hear his descriptive play-by-play style, which Craig always enjoys.
