B&C Morning Show: Big Apple Baseball Problems

David Wright was scheduled to have the day off yesterday. Then the Mets had their game against the Rockies in Colorado rained out, which seems like a fortunate break for the club considering Ike Davis is already out of the linep and is scheduled to have an MRI on his sore left calf.

But then you remember we are talking about the Mets here -- and with that said, word is Terry Collins is keeping Wright out of today's lineup, which according to Craig makes very little sense.

Boomer didn't get all that worked-up about Wright's rest, he chose rather to focus on the fact that Davis is scheduled to have an MRI on his sore calf and that the Mets have elected to fly him back to New York to have the test done.  Bottom line is things are not going well in Mets-land.

As far as the Yankees are concerned, they got another solid pitching performance out of A.J. Burnett (7 innings - 1 run - 5 walks - 6 strikeouts) but went 2-16 with runners in scoring position and eventually lost to the Royals by a score of 4-3 in 11 innings.

Craig called the loss a frustrating one and was quick to point out that the Captain, Derek Jeter, was 0-6.
