B&C Morning Show: Antrel Rolle Ova-Unda, Boomer's Tattoo Thoughts And Jerry's Update
Jerry Recco began his first update of the morning by updating the Mets' latest problems, beginning with the news that Johan Santana may not be ready for Opening Day - which was delivered by Mets GM Sandy Alderson. We also heard Alderson's comments on bringing in new talent and the multiple reports that say the Mets have loan payments due and therefore MLB may have to step in.
Jerry then updated us on some more details that have emerged from baseball's new labor agreement - teams from the same division will now be allowed to play in the 1st round of the playoffs, there will be more replay and better accommodations for players during spring training.
An NBA free-agent update, followed by audio of Jets safety Jim Leonhard - who joined Joe & Evan on the Mid-Day Show yesterday to talk about his season ending knee surgery scheduled for later today.
Joe & Evan were also joined by Giants safety Antrel Rolle yesterday - the powers that be have taken to referring to it as 'Twin Safety Tuesday' on the FAN - anyway when Rolle joins Joe & Evan, people listen. Jerry took it one step further and made a morning show game out of it called - 'Ova/Unda' - which focused Rolle's well-documented penchant for saying 'at the end of the day' over and over and over and over and over again, again, again, again and yet again.
Boomer also revealed that he is leaning toward taking Craig up on his offer to have world renowned tattoo artist, Oliver Peck, ink him up in-studio - stay-tuned...
