B&C Morning Show: A.J. Should Be Pitching For His Future, Jets Are Starting To Worry Craig
With the Yankees off on Monday, the Mets' come-from-behind win over the Padres garnered some early morning acknowledgment from Craig Carton, who was flying solo today with Boomer enjoying some well-deserved 'R&R.'
Craig didn't spend too much time talking about the 9-8 win though, admitting his beloved Mets are finished and their thrilling victory last night at Citi Field is really meaningless in the grand scheme of it all. With that said, Craigie focused his attention squarely on A.J. Burnett and his start tonight in the Bronx against the LA Angels.
Craig went on to explain that this start for Burnett, who hasn't won a game since June 29, should be for his spot in the rotation. Era' in New York.
As for the Jets, Craig is starting to worry about Gang Green and wondered aloud if he should be drinking the Kool-Aid as he has done the last couple of years. Based on their recent moves, Craig does not see how GM Mike Tannenbaum has made this team better, a claim their outspoken Head Coach Rex Ryan is on the record with. I guess time will tell and until then Craig will continue to worry...
