8/20 CBS2 Thursday Afternoon Weather Headlines
By Justin Lewis

There's just a slight chance of showers/storms this afternoon and mainly to our west. Temps will struggle a little more today given the added cloud cover, but it will still be a bit muggy out there. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s.
Rain will push in far north and west later this evening into the overnight hours with the city's best chance of rain as we head into the second half of the overnight. There may be some pockets of heavy rain, so do be on the lookout for flooding (especially as you head farther north and west). Some shower and thunderstorm activity will persist into the rush, but we'll also see them lose some intensity.
We'll at least see a chance of showers/storms the remainder of the day given the slow eastward progression of the front, but the best chance of showers will be east of the city. Highs tomorrow will struggle to reach the low 80s, but it will still be a bit humid out there.
The aforementioned front will get a little hung up off to our east on Saturday. At this point we're hoping the bulk of the moisture stays offshore, but it's too close of a call... leaving in a chance of showers/storms for now (especially east).
As for Sunday, it's still not looking like a washout, but we'll have to leave in at least a slight chance of rain.
