Good morning, folks and Happy Independence Day! We're looking at a pretty decent day ahead, but there will be increasing clouds as we head into the afternoon. Temps will top off in the low to mid 80s with a touch more humidity. Despite the evening cloud cover, it still looks to stay dry in the city for much of the day!

Around fireworks time, there will be showers moving in to the south. We'll keep a close eye on those, but right now the fireworks still look okay. Best bet for evening showers will be south and west of the city.
The heaviest rain holds off until after midnight and don't be surprised if some rumbles wake you up in the early morning hours of Tuesday. There could be some minor flooding in those pour drainage areas.

It clears out during the day Tuesday and then the big story turns to the return of heat and humidity! In fact, its looking like our first heat wave of the summer will be in reach as temps climb into the low 90s by midweek. With the humidity, it'll feel closer to 100 at times!
But for now, enjoy the mostly dry holiday! Just grab the umbrella if you'll be out late after the fireworks.
