7/14 CBS2 Thursday Afternoon Weather Headlines

We're talking hot and steamy conditions this afternoon with feels like temps in the mid to upper 90's! And it looks like the most extreme heat will be in NJ where feels like temps will be around 100°. That said, the NWS has issued a heat advisory for much of the state; the advisory will be in effect until 8 PM.
Outside of the heat, we're talking the potential for strong storms. It looks like they'll develop N&W this afternoon; the city's best chance will be mid to late afternoon. Some of these storms will produce gusty winds and heavy rain, so do be on the lookout if you're driving around.

After a leftover early evening storm (mainly N&E), we'll see things quiet down a bit. It will remain a bit humid though with temps only falling into the upper to mid 70's by daybreak.
Tomorrow's looking like another hot one with generally quiet conditions. The humidity will be down just a tad, but with air temps in the low 90's, it will still feel like the mid 90's during the afternoon.

As of now, much of Saturday is looking dry. But into the afternoon -- and mainly S&W -- it looks like there could be an isolated storm. Highs that day will be in the upper 80's to nearly 90°.
As for Sunday, it's looking generally dry again, but still hot with highs in the upper 80's.
