6/3 CBS2 Wednesday Evening Weather Headlines
By Giorgio Panetta,
CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Good evening all,
It's been a fairly mild afternoon as high pressure pushes clouds south and east. We hit a high temp of 70° around 3 p.m.
The Hudson Valley was witness to a pleasant day. They remained in the upper 60s to mid 70s all day.
Things are changing tonight, however. High pressure is sliding offshore just enough to allow clouds to stream north ahead of low pressure in South Carolina. There is also a slight risk for showers down the Jersey Shore.
The city and points north should stay dry for the remainder of Thursday.
Friday, a better chance for some showers, or even a storm, exists. The low pushes further north and temps bump up, along with the humidity. It's by no means an all day event, but spotty showers/storms are likely.
Saturday is looking better than earlier this week. Temps could warm near 80°. Check back in soon for the latest.
