You've resolved to eat healthier and take fitness classes in NYC for the New Year -- why not add "try something new" to your 2014 checklist? Check out these classes, workshops and courses to become an expert in a new skill for a productive and rewarding year. By Sarah Shaker.

Wish you were more like Giada in the kitchen? Take a cooking class this year with Cook&Go for lessons in a specific gourmet to impress your roommates, friends or significant other. Choose a meal – like Indian cuisine or a Detox Menu – and a date and time, then cook with an expert chef in class. The ingredients, tools, apron and recipes are provided at each Cook&Go workshop. The Yoga to the People Yoga Teacher Training is a Yoga Alliance Registered program covering all of the requirements listed by the Yoga Alliance for a 200-hour certification.
