Good Afternoon!
You woke up to a huge treat in the city this morning, with temps ABOVE freezing to start. Most of the suburbs started in the upper 20s, still a big increase from yesterday morning. If you're sick and tired of the cold, you're going to like the extended forecast...
Expect a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon, with highs in the mid-40s. It will be breezy however, with gusts 20-30 mph at times. Partly cloudy tonight, with increasing clouds after midnight. Lows right around freezing near the city.
There looks like a slight chance of a passing rain/snow shower early tomorrow morning, but most will remain dry. Mostly sunny skies will prevail with temps once again in the mid-40s. Still on the breezy side.
Tuesday will bring the next chance of a more widespread rain, especially south and east of the city. This lingers into early Wednesday morning, followed by mostly sunny skies during the day. Wednesday's high? 50 degrees!
And a little fun fact for you... the last time we had 40+ degrees as highs for all 7 days in the extended forecast... December 23-29! In fact, it was early Christmas morning when Central Park hit 62 degrees! We'll be back to those kind of temps soon enough. Have a good one!
