2/29 CBS2 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Showers will swing through and exit east by early to mid afternoon. We're not expecting much rainfall out of these showers -- they're more of a nuisance, really -- but do have the umbrella if you're headed out. After they pass, some sun should break out and we'll see our temps top out in the upper 50's... not a bad feel for the end of February.

There's a chance of a rain/snow shower N&W tonight, but it looks to stay mainly dry elsewhere. It will be a little cooler with temps falling into the mid to upper 30's by daybreak.

We're looking at sun and clouds for the start of March tomorrow. It will be a little cooler than in recent days, but we're still looking at temps several degrees above normal with highs around 50.

Our next chance of wet weather will be late Tuesday night into Wednesday. In addition to the rain, gusty winds are likely with the possibility of even a thunderstorm. And as of now, it looks like we'll hang on to the low to mid 50's for one more day.

As for Thursday, sunshine will make a comeback, but so will a chill... struggling to get into the low 40's!
