2/2 CBS2 Monday Evening Weather Headlines
By Giorgio Panetta, CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Hello everyone,
What a mess out there today. Heavy snow for some, heavy rain for others, and worst of all, ice for most of our drivers. Slow commuting tonight, please take your time.
Snow totals were pretty much on target. The biggest totals were confined to the areas that held onto the cold air the longest. Basically north of Rt. I-84 stayed below 32 degrees.
A last burst of snow smacked the Tri-State with an additional inch between 3-6pm today. I've posted some of the totals for your review.
We're under a very active pattern right now. Just about every 48 hours another system rotates east. The next chance would be north of the city on Wednesday morning. Then, another front swings through potentially combining forces with a system offshore to bring some more significant snow.
Check back in shortly.
