Happy Valentine's Day!
And the coldest on record at that! We fell to -1 this morning in the city, breaking the daily record of 2 from 1916, exactly 100 years ago. If you're headed out tonight, bundle up! Temps will be in the teens, falling into the single digits in most of the suburbs by early tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow starts off dry for everyone, but we'll see some light snow moving in from SW to NE during the afternoon. Expect a slick PM commute as we pick up a few inches. But after that, we change to rain as temps rise. Everyone should see rain by shortly after midnight, but not before the far NW suburbs deal with some sleet and freezing rain.
Tuesday will be warm and wet, with highs reaching the low to mid 50s. After a morning lull, another round of moderate to heavy rain moves through during the afternoon. Expect some flooding concerns, especially with the frozen ground!
The rain moves out Tuesday night, and we dip back down into the 40s on Wednesday. Check back in soon for the latest!
