NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police are investigating a deadly one-car crash on the Belt Parkway in Queens.

The accident occurred near 181st Street around 10:45 p.m. Thursday.

A preliminary investigation determined a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer was traveling at a high speed on the North Conduit Avenue, police said.

The driver, identified as 20-year-old D'John Arias or Corona, Queens, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old passenger, identified as Karim Carter of Jamaica, Queens, suffered severe trauma and died a short time later at Jamaica Hospital, police said.

A third victim, a 14-year-old boy, suffered leg injuries and was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
