1/4 CBS2 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

An arctic air mass will continue to settle in this afternoon. And despite sunshine, temps will only peak in the low 30s... feeling more like 20° though with those gusty winds!

It will be just plain frigid tonight as our winds keep up and our temps crash. Evening wind chills will only be 5-15° with wake-up wind chills on Tuesday near 0°!

It will stay cold into tomorrow, but thankfully we'll catch a break from the winds as low pressure pushes farther offshore and higher pressure nudges in. Highs tomorrow will be in the low 30s.

And it looks like our thaw begins on Wednesday as our thermometer reaches the low 40s... mid to upper 40s are in reach the second half of the week.

Check back for more details on our coldest weather yet!
