12/26 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

As expected, we had a pretty cloudy day and it was MUCH cooler than the past few days...but still above normal! We'll have clouds tonight with showers and some patchy fog. It'll be a cool night with a low of 49 in NYC, closer to 40 for the suburbs.

Evening Low Temps

Miss the warmth? Good news! we'll be back into the 60s tomorrow with records possible. The current number to beat in NYC is 63 and we're calling for 65, so it should be another one for the books. It won't be a pretty sky though as we'll have clouds through the day with a few showers later in the evening.

Evening Features Map

We'll get a dose of wintry reality Monday and Tuesday...Monday will be the coolest day in a while with a high of only 44 and we'll have some precipitation moving in late Monday...but it won't start off as rain! Folks north & west of the City should start off with an icy mix of sleet, snow, and freezing rain and there could be some accumulation. Everyone changes to rain Tuesday morning as temps rise through the 40s to near 50 in NYC...Could have a windy soaker Tuesday afternoon.

Stay tuned for the latest on our busy weather pattern!
